Perma Smile

This morning my phone goes off with a tweet from Brienne Michelle and it says "we are published early!!!" I immediately dropped my phone and ran to my laptop, went to Green Wedding Shoes and that's when the perma smile set in.  Our hard work was captured so perfectly and there it was for the world to see. My eyes started to tear up because I was so proud of the whole dream team (those darn hormones from having kids!) but I held back. No tears were shed. Then I hop onto Facebook and I see a post from Brienne that says a "national magazine wants to use one of the pics for the COVER" this is where the super perma smile sets in.

Now lets rewind to when Brienne first contacted me to be a part of this shoot. I was so excited after she told me about it I lost sleep because its all I could think about.  I read the books a while ago and instantly became a Twilight fan so I was utterly thrilled. The color scheme was great. Greys, whites, hints of black and the POPS of blue.  And the best part was Brienne gave me free range to do pretty much whatever I wanted. Which to a florist are the "golden words".  She also said she wanted a ball structure over the table.  From that stemmed what I now call my "ball cloud".

The very last image at the bottom of this page is sure to knock your socks off.  We waited for the right lighting and BAM there it is. A stunning picture. Right taken right at twilight. I am still picking fox tails out of my socks but every one I pull out gives me a little smile bringing me back to this shoot. I am so honored to be a part of this shoot and to be published on Green Wedding Shoes. I am so happy to finally be able to share these pics with you.  I have been waiting to blast these all over the place I am so proud of everyone. Enjoy.

  2. You did a FANTASTIC job on the flowers! I love the deep pops of blue. And that boutonniere is stunning. Great meeting you at CCLA! -Susannah VanDyke, Lukas VanDyke Photography
